TrekRoots Highlands Homestay sits at the heart of Sankri village — the celebrated base camp for Kedarkantha and Har Ki Dun treks. Built in traditional Uttarakhand wood-and-stone architecture with hand-carved wooden balconies overlooking the Swargarohini peak group, this 8-room homestay is the original Manya property and the beginning of our story. Guests are welcomed as family by the Rawat family, fed hearty Garhwali mountain cuisine, and offered a window into authentic hill life that no hotel can replicate.
